Whatcha Readin Saturday

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

Like I said last week, I am still reading Just a Taste.  However, I am starting a new book this week as well…well not really new, and I kind of already started.  Okay, well I  did a paper on it, but I only read parts of it.  So I am going to finish it because it looked really interesting!

It is….The Money Book for the Young, Fabulous & Broke by Suze Orman.

The parts I have read are pretty interesting, but I will let you know what I think about it!

And, if you aren’t participating in Whatcha Readin Saturday, you should be!  Click here and check it out!

Struggles

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

So, the last couple of days I have been knocked off my horse.  I am sick…it would appear that I have the flu, at least according to the nurse who diagnosed me on the phone (because of the swine flu fear).  While my mother and I don’t think that  I have the flu I am forced to take it easy, and not go to school…which is a total joke because we are supposed to get our biology tests back!!

Anyway, I had to run out to campus earlier and drop off a paper for my internship course.  And, when I got back home, I found that I had not one but TWO packages waiting for me!  Guess what they are?

The first was my granola that I ordered from MixMyGranola.

And, the second was my amazing package from Vitalicious!  I couldn’t believe how much they sent me!

YUM!!

I know these probably shouldn’t have made my day, but they totally improved it.  Anyway, I am forced to stay home and relax, so I will get back to relaxing, but expect reviews soon for these two amazing products!

Clearing up some of the 101!

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

I just wanted to make my goals a bit clearer.  Here’s what I cleared up…the edit is in bold and italics.

#12: Finish all my scrapbooking.  All photos that are already printed.

#14: Learn to manage my money, and to save.  Do this by reading books and talking to my brother {the financial planner} on ways to manage/save.  Also, put myself on a budget.

#85: Start a wedding book of things I would like in my future wedding and things I would like in my home.

#90: Keep up with my Goodreads, when I finish a book, write a review for it.

I seriously love this challenge, I have already thought of sooo many things for my next list.  But, one at a time, right?

A Letter to The New Scales

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

Dear New Scales,

I really liked you at Wal*Mart yesterday, you were so pretty with your black an silver finish.  You had that cute blue background where the weight would come up, I thought that I would love seeing my weight pop up on there.  Boy, was I wrong.  You see new scales, the old scales were very nice, they weighed me and then took off some pounds, just so I wouldn’t be too upset.  But you don’t do that do you?  Killing me with the truth.  Sigh, I suppose this is the new motivation I need.

I hate you.
