Monday Recap

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

Monday’s are my long day at school and while I was in class I thought it’d be fun if every now and again I wrote ten things I was thankful for.  So, today here is what I am thankful for

  1. My cousin, Kristy, for her ability to always be there for me and to listen to me…even when I am a blubbering mess.
  2. My friend, Samantha, for having dinner with me and putting up with my madness in class.
  3. The people I work with.  I woke up at 5 so I had time to do my hair and makeup.  They complimented me and said I look nice.  I feel pretttyyyyyyyy.
  4. Google Reader for allowing me to read all the blogs I want to and learn about delicious new recipes.
  5. Blackberry Messenger, because it is fun.
  6. Dogs, and trying to decide what kind I want after I move.
  7. Photos of my nieces.
  8. Weight Watchers for giving me the tools I need to lose weight.
  9. My dad for always forgetting that I’m allergic to cats…
  10. My bed for letting me be oh so comfy at night.

I am hoping to also get a photo of myself as sort of a before photo.  I am a terrible slacker at these things…I am also going to post a recipe up soon! :)

Sundayyy

Sunday, March 27th, 2011

Today has been a good day.  I have spent time relaxing and enjoying being home.  However, I have big hopes for this week.  I have been struggling with depression and haven’t really talked to many people about it.  I am going to make an appointment with a counselor this week.  I think it is a combination of school stress, life changes, and a big fight with my father.  I know that I need to be more focused on school and “keep my eye on the prize” but with everything that is going on…it is hard.

I have some goals this week that I am hoping to accomplish:

  1. Finish all assignments when given.
  2. Wake up at 6 every week day and workout.
  3. Make proposal to send to Darren
  4. Print out a weekly calendar and write when assignments are due.
  5. Meal plan and make lunch before I go to work.
  6. Attend Weight Watchers meeting.

I realllly want to tell you all everything that is going on but for now I am going to keep it under wraps.  Not because I don’t love you but because there are things that only one other person knows and I’m not ready to bring it up here and make it public.

Have a great week.

Uhm, yuck.

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

I went back to Weight Watchers for the first time since February 8th.  I knew I had gained but had no idea how much.  Here’s how it looks:

Original Weight Watchers Starting Weight:  237.8 lbs

Last Weigh in 2/8/11:  232.2 lbs

Weigh in on 3/22/11: 239.2 lbs

Loss/Gain: +7 lbs

Blah.  I was shocked and disgusted that I had let myself gain that much.  I know I can do this and if I stay on the program I will be okay and lose but to let myself get back to even MORE than where I started?!  That’s pathetic.  I am back on the diet train today…even though I forgot to pack breakfast and lunch.  I will just track everything and make sure I’m staying within my points range and drinking water.  That means I have to go off the soda, and that also means that I’m going to avoid pop at all costs until graduation.  Can I do it? Yes, but it won’t be easy.  Also, I am in the process of coming up with a challenge for April…stay with me…

A New Week :)

Sunday, February 6th, 2011

My Weight Watchers week actually starts on Wednesday but I have been struggling the last week and a half.  I ended up skipping my meeting last week because I was worried that I would gain.  I still think it is a good possibility that this Tuesday I will be up on the scale, but we’ll see.

I have dropped two of my French classes and made my work schedule with a lot more free time.  This will be perfect for me.  I will have more time available to go to the gym, workout, eat healthy meals and more time to blog.  I have some goals that I want to work on for this next week:

  1. Meal plan
  2. Work out 5 days this week
  3. Schedule a time to go to the gym and follow through!!
  4. Find new recipes to make!
  5. Blog about my food, diet, struggles and whatever

The find new recipes to make is going to be fun.  I went to half price books and picked up a TON of cookbooks that I am really excited about.  I also love that the blogosphere is full of amazing recipes.  I will be posting the recipes here for you all to see and let you know what I think about them.

Also, the blogging is something that I find helps me with my diet.  If I have to blog about it then it’s like someone holding me accountable everyday.

I took some 72 hour detox diet pills today and I am hoping that they’ll do something.  My best friend took them and saw quite a difference I think she said 6 pounds…but I’m not sure.  Also, I am going to be revamping my goals page.  It’s a bit outdated.

I think that is it, I am excited to show off my new recipes :)

Oh, hello!

Wednesday, January 5th, 2011

I suck at this consistency thing. However, I do have excuses…but they’re not going to be posted here.

I started a challenge with the Sisterhood today. I am pretty excited and I love doing their challenges.

Starting Weight: 233.6 lbs

Previous Week’s Weight: 230.8 lbs

Current Weight: 232.6 lbs

Loss/Gain: +1.8 lbs

Total Loss/Gain: -1 lbs

I have also decided to join Weight Watchers again. I did well with their program when I was in High School…losing 60 pounds. But, now, I need to get back on it again. I need that accountability in my life.

My mom is going to do it with me as well which is nice. She wants to lose 20 pounds. Happy Day 1 of the challenge for me :)
